Group honors advocate for home-based business

A local advocate for home-based businesses have been honored for her business acumen and community service by a statewide businesses group.
Margery Davidson, owner if Davidson's Business Development Team Inc., has received the Business Woman of the Year Award from the New Jersey Association of the Women Business Owners.
The award marks the fourth consecutive year in which a member of the Monmouth Chapter of NJAWBO has been chosen for this honor. NJAWBO is a chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners.
Donna Myers, owner if DHM Group Inc. and a Monmouth chapter member, was awarded the Nancy C, Righter Service Award for service to the chapter by NJAWBO.
A CPA, Davidson founded her first business in 1983. After four years of successful growth, she founded Davidson's Business Development Team Inc., her second venture, which helps business owners develop their companies.
Davidson has testified before the state Assembly in support of home-based businesses.
She has served the Monmouth Chapter as Vice president of Finance and the Corporate Relations Chair, and will serve as vice president of finance for NJAWBO in 2001-2002. In addition, she was a volunteer for the Women's Center of Monmouth County.
